Another co-accused in the qualified trafficking in persons case against former Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque and Cassandra Ong has been arrested in Pampanga. The suspect was identified as “Mariano,” one of the 49 co-accused. He is a security guard on duty at Lucky South 99 Outsourcing Inc., a POGO in Porac, Pampanga.
According to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Mariano was arrested in Clark, Pampanga on Saturday. CIDG Director Police Major General Nicolas Torre III advised the other co-accused to surrender as tracker teams are actively searching for them.
It can be recalled that warrants of arrest were issued against Roque, Ong, and others involved on May 15, 2024 at the Regional Trial Court of Angeles City. “Marlon,” another co-accused, was previously arrested in Mabalacat City. Despite this, Roque denied the allegations and said that he was never a lawyer for POGO or Lucky South 99.
