
Veteran actor Choi Jung Woo has passed away at the age of 68, according to an official statement from his agency, Bless Entertainment, on Tuesday, May 27.
The burial will be held at the Gimpo Woori Hospital Funeral Home, and the burial is scheduled for May 29. He will be laid to rest at Suwon Yeonhwa Cemetery.
Choi was born in 1957 and first came to prominence in the theater field in the 1975 play "The Life of an Actor." He is also a voice actor who has worked for companies such as Shinsi and Tongyang Broadcasting Company.
By the 2000s, he moved into making films and television dramas. Among his famous films are Two Cops, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, The Chaser, and The Witch. She also appeared in dramas such as The Painter of the Wind, Prosecutor Princess, and My Daughter Seo-young.
Some of her recent projects include KBS2's Who Is She, The Tale of Lady Ok, and A Place in the Sun. He has also played supporting roles in hit K-drama films such as City Hunter, Doctor Stranger, and The Legend of the Blue Sea.
