A tricycle driver was complained after he forced 16-year-old girl to a hotel instead of dropping her off at her home in Antipolo City, Rizal. According to the report, this happened just after 3 a.m. while the girl was returning home from her part-time job.
While on the trip, the driver allegedly suddenly made a U-turn and invited the passenger to go for a walk. When the girl refused and asked to get off, the tricycle allegedly sped up even faster. Because of this, she was scared and didn't know what to do. On CCTV, it can be seen that the driver even grabbed her by the arm and forcefully took her into a hotel.
The victim's story is that she was forced to check in, but when the man threatened to report her, she immediately left. The cashier also allegedly heard this, so the driver's payment was not accepted. According to the cashier, the man's behavior was suspicious even though he said the girl was his "girlfriend."
The girl immediately asked for help from her family, and they went to the barangay to get a blotter. With the help of TODA, the tricycle driver was identified and the family is already contacting the police to file a case.
Authorities remind, if the driver of the PUV acts suspiciously, immediately obtain the body number or license plate and send it to a relative or friend for safety.
