Apple is expected to launch a major “product renaissance” in 2027 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iPhone. According to tech expert Mark Gurman, the company will release a mostly-glass, curved iPhone and the first foldable iPhone.
The designs in question include an all-glass iPhone with no hole in the screen. It's possible that the camera and Face ID could be hidden behind the display. While the iPhone X was the first to use a glass design, the 2027 model is even more advanced.
It's not yet certain whether Apple will emulate Samsung in extending the screen to the edge. There are patents showing an all-glass design since 2013, so it's a possibility.
Aside from iPhones, Apple is also expected to release its first smart glasses that could potentially rival the Meta and Ray-Ban. Gurman also said that the use of Apple Intelligence will expand, especially in AirPods and glasses, using cameras for a smarter experience.
Although 2027 is still a long way off, many are already excited about possible new Apple products. Expect more details to emerge as the iPhone anniversary approaches.
