Lightning strikes killed two police officers at a police camp in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, on Wednesday night. While parking their motorcycles, they were suddenly struck by a series of lightning strikes.
It took more than an hour before a passing policeman noticed the two victims unconscious on the ground. They were immediately administered first aid and taken to the Mindoro Medical Center, but they were declared dead on arrival.
According to Police Brig. Gen. Roger Quesada, the PNP is ready to provide full assistance, benefits, and honor to the families left behind. Their dedication and courage will not be forgotten.
