
Twenty people died in election-related incidents, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday.
The PNP recorded 49 election-related incidents, with most of the fatalities coming from the Cordillera region.
Two people were killed and seven others were injured in a shooting incident in Silay City, Negros Occidental on election day, May 12.
According to PNP spokesperson BGen. Jean Fajardo, 31 people were injured in other incidents, and they are still investigating 51 other incidents to determine if they are election-related.
