Mexican beauty influencer Valeria Marquez, 23, was killed while livestreaming on TikTok. It happened at the salon where she worked in the city of Zapopan. The case is being investigated as femicide, a crime involving violence against women.
Valeria can be seen in the livestream holding her favorite stuffed toy and saying "they're coming." Later, she hears someone calling her name before she mutes the video. Just seconds later, she is shot by a man in the salon.
Valeria, who has nearly 200,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok, said on a livestream before the incident that someone had come with an expensive gift for her, so she was worried and didn't plan on waiting for that person anymore.
