Former President Rodrigo Duterte was overjoyed when he learned that he had won the mayoralty of Davao City. According to his youngest brother, Bong Duterte, he broke the news while visiting the former president at the ICC detention facility in The Hague, Netherlands.
Duterte could not hide his joy, especially since he had a big lead over his opponent. He said this was a great inspiration to him even though he was far away.
Apart from his victory, he also rejoiced in the success of his children. Sebastian “Baste” Duterte was elected as vice-mayor, while Paolo “Pulong” Duterte remained as the city's congressman.
The good news didn't end there, as even his two grandchildren also won in the recently concluded elections in Davao. The entire Duterte family is truly overjoyed by the election results.
