Former President Rodrigo Duterte's partner Honeylet Avanceña and their daughter Kitty Duterte attended the PDP Laban campaign rally in Quezon City for the first time.
During the rally, Honeylet Avanceña called for leaders to be elected who would put the interest of the people before their personal gain. She also acknowledged the sadness they felt, especially after Duterte was arrested for a crime against humanity case at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in March.
Meanwhile, Kitty Duterte, Duterte's daughter, delivered a message from her father to Filipinos. She conveyed her father's message to The Hague when they visited it.
The Duterte family's attendance at the rally demonstrated their continued support for PDP Laban and their desire to continue the aspirations of their father leader.
