A jeep lost brakes and fell into a ravine along the Quezon National Forest Park road in Pagbilao, Quezon this Saturday afternoon, May 3, 2025. Three people were injured, including driver.
According to the Pagbilao police, the 59-year-old business driver from Dalahican, Lucena City was trapped in a jeepney that overturned on the side of a ravine. He sustained injuries to his body.
During the investigation, at around 4:00 p.m., the jeep was going downhill and curving in the “bitukang manok” section of the zigzag road when it suddenly lost its brakes. It first crashed into a stopped van and also hit two flagmen who were managing traffic flow.
The jeepney veered to its side and nearly fell completely into the ravine. The LGU rescue team and several bystanders immediately responded to pull out the driver. The three injured were brought to the Quezon Medical Center, and are now in good condition.
Due to the incident, the zigzag road was temporarily closed for clearing and rescue operations.
