The workers' request for higher wages is currently being studied by the government, especially by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. assured that the workers' grievances are not being ignored and that they will be given due attention.
PBBM said the government is listening and ready to respond to the call for an increase. However, he said it is also necessary to consider the impact it will have on businesses, jobs, and the country's economy. He said it is important to balance all aspects to reach the right decision.
According to the President, it is nice to hear promises of higher wages, but they must be based on proper studies. He also boasted that 16 regions in the Philippines have implemented salary increase since June of last year.
Apart from the salary, the President also shared government programs aimed at helping citizens, especially with daily expenses to ease the burden of life.
