The 48-year-old Chinese national is now being investigated by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) after he was caught in Intramuros, Manila on Tuesday. He was caught for keeping surveillance equipment or spy equipment inside his vehicle.
According to NBI spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin, he is being interrogated regarding the devices found in his vehicle. The devices could be used to monitor or snoop on other people.
The NBI has not yet released any other details regarding the suspect's identity or the motive behind the use of spy equipment. Their investigation is ongoing.
