The police's Special Investigation Task Group Nodero continues to work to strengthen evidence against the main suspect in the murder of an eight-year-old student in San Pablo City, Laguna. This move follows the release of the 59-year-old suspect after earlier evidence presented to the City Prosecutor’s Office was declared insufficient.
According to investigators, additional testimony and physical evidence are needed to ensure a strong case. The police leadership clarified that they are continuing to examine all angles of the crime, including witness statements and compliance with the established arrest process, to avoid any technicality that could weaken the case.
Meanwhile, the Public Attorney’s Office stands by to support the victim’s family, while the murder case against the suspect remains open. Despite the pain and discouragement caused by the suspect’s temporary release, the family hopes that justice will be served, and that in due course the guilty party will face the law again.
