CCTV footage captured the robbery of an appliance store in Barangay Burgos, Rodriguez, Rizal by two riding-in-tandem in the early hours of the morning. Both suspects were seen wearing helmets and moving quickly to avoid being immediately recognized, a sign of a planned operation amidst the quiet of the area.
The video shows how the lights were turned off, the lock on the roll-up door was broken with a bolt cutter, and later the glass door was smashed with a motorcycle. One of the suspects immediately targeted the cashier area, but after finding nothing, they focused on portable speakers, including new wireless and waterproof models.
According to employees, there were early indications of surveillance prior to the incident, and several nearby buildings were also reported to have been victims of similar crimes. As a result, the barangay and police have increased surveillance in the area as the investigation and pursuit of the suspects continue, in response to growing concerns about the community's security.
