A man was arrested by railway security officers after he jumped onto the tracks of the MRT-3 Ortigas Station on Friday at around 1:05 p.m.
According to the MRT-3 Safety and Security Unit (SSU), the man bought a northbound ticket but upon arriving at the platform, he suddenly ran and jumped onto the tracks.
After this, he ran on the northbound track towards Shaw Boulevard Station, causing train operations to be delayed.
Upon reaching the nearby mall, the man climbed onto the new footbridge where he was arrested for unauthorized entry.
He was taken to Wack-Wack Police Station 3 and charged with alarm and scandal and resisting arrest, while MRT-3 Management reminded the public that entry into restricted areas is strictly prohibited due to danger to life and train operations.
