The La Salle Green Archers made an epic comeback after erasing a 21-point lead by the UE Red Warriors to win in overtime, 111-110, this Wednesday in the UAAP Season 88. But there was a heavy blow as Kean Baclaan was injured and had to be taken out on a stretcher after hitting his knee.
Jacob Cortez carried the game for La Salle with 26 points, including clutch free throws and a jumper in OT. Mike Phillips also contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds before being hit with cramps, while Baclaan finished with 17 points and 4 assists before going down with an injury.
For UE, Precious Momowei's big game was not in vain as he scored 42 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 assists. He was the first UAAP player to score 49 points since Alvin Pasaol also scored 49 points against La Salle.
Despite Momowei's heroics and Abate's 25 points, the Red Warriors still lost and recorded their sixth straight loss this season.
