Croatia is offering high-paying, quality jobs for Filipinos under a government-to-government (G2G) hiring program. According to officials, about 30,000 to 40,000 jobs are needed, especially in tourism, construction, and healthcare.
Ivan Vidis, State Secretary for Labor of Croatia, said they are happy to welcome Filipinos because they are known for their hard work and adaptability. He added that wages will continue to increase and currently the average net salary is around ₱97,000 per month.
The first batch of applicants will start in the tourism sector, where hotels are in high demand. The program will then be expanded to construction and other industries. The two countries also assured that the recruitment process will be free and will proceed in a safe and legal manner.
Aside from good wages, Filipinos who work in Croatia for a long time also have the possibility of obtaining residency or citizenship. According to Vidis, Filipinos also adapt easily because of their family-oriented and faith-centered culture. He added that Croatia is one of the safest countries with beautiful nature and a healthy lifestyle.
