The former race-winning Ducati 1199 Panigale R of Marco Melandri in the World Superbike Championship will be sold this November at a major auction in Birmingham.
With the factory Ducati team at the time, alongside Chaz Davies, he won 2 wins and 2 pole positions. In a total of 25 races, he delivered 10 podium finishes and Melandri finished fifth place in the standings.
Expected to fetch between ₱4.3M to ₱5.7M, this motorcycle has been well cared for as part of a private collection and is still in running order – ready for trackday or parade.
It was even used this year at the Goodwood hill climb as part of a special celebration for the World Superbike championship.
This is not the only feature of the auction. Also included is a Kawasaki ZX-10RR used by Storm Stacey and a true Grand Prix royalty – the 2019 Ducati GP19 MotoGP bike of Andrea Dovizioso, estimated to be worth ₱35.7M to ₱50M.
