American Donald David Hill, 66, was arrested in Las Piñas for concealing a firearm, failing to comply with shelter rules, and taking indecent images of children.
The investigation revealed that he had not applied for a visa extension since he arrived in the country in 2007, so he was overstaying.
Meanwhile, in Parañaque, South Korean fugitive Kim Miri, 41, was also arrested and charged with financial fraud and money laundering in Korea. According to the report, she stole more than ₱42.5 million since 2020 using investment scam.
Both Hill and Kim have been listed on the Bureau of Immigration's blacklist and are scheduled to be deported.
According to Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, the Philippines will not allow itself to be a haven for criminal foreigners. Authorities are continuing to work together to ensure that they are caught and deported from the country.
