A newborn baby boy was abducted by a woman posing as a nurse at the Lingayen District Hospital on Sunday.
According to a report by the Pangasinan police, the incident occurred in the OB-Gyne ward after the 42-year-old father left the room to pay the hospital bill of ₱7,000.
Based on the investigation, the suspect, who was wearing a green scrub suit and a face mask, told the mother that the baby needed to be brought for a blood test.
Gov. Ramon Guico III ordered an investigation and the police search for the abducted baby immediately began.
In a statement by the provincial government on social media, they assured that an update would be provided to the family and the public and also called on the public to report to the authorities if they have information about the incident.
