The Ducati Streetfighter V2 S was used for the 6-day trip that covered 2181 miles (3,509 km) to southern France. Instead of taking the motorway, they took rural roads, saving them almost ₱16,500 in toll fees.
The north and central parts of France are usually avoided because of the flat terrain and quiet towns, but they were surprised to find many twisty roads and beautiful scenery. Using the sat nav set to ‘Thrilling Route’, they passed through small roads, farms, and beautiful scenery with almost no traffic.
From vast sunflower fields to fragrant forests, to the southern sunshine, the journey is worth it. The Streetfighter V2 S is fast, durable and great at cornering, but the low handlebars and stiff gear changes can be a bit tiring, especially on long days of riding.
The highlight of the trip was the D6202 in Alpes-Maritimes, near the Var River, where 2.4 miles of twisty dual carriageway were covered. It was like a real Out Run game—intense, fast, and breathtaking. On this road, the power of the Ducati Streetfighter V2 S was clearly visible.
As for the equipment, the old Ducati tankbag was reused, secured with cable ties to ensure it would be durable for long trips. Simple but effective, just like the entire ride experience.
