A 30-year-old woman was arrested in Antipolo City after being involved in a serial stabbing of men and assaulting a police officer.
The latest incident occurred in Barangay San Isidro, where a 26-year-old man was suddenly stabbed with scissors while sitting in front of a store. He was immediately caught by barangay tanod and brought to the police station.
During the investigation, it was revealed that there were three other victims who had previously been stabbed by the woman. One of them died a few days later. According to barangay officials, the woman has a mental health condition and has been brought to the National Center for Mental Health several times, but was also discharged and has not been regular in taking medication.
According to her mother, the woman experienced beating from her husband, which worsened her condition. When she is bullied, she becomes violent and attacks.
Currently, the last victim continues to be treated in the hospital, while the woman is detained at the Antipolo Police Station and may face a case of frustrated homicide.
