The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and San Miguel Beermen will bring their sibling rivalry to Dubai this October 26. This marks the return of the PBA to the UAE, where the match will be held at the Coca-Cola Arena at 6:00 p.m. Dubai time (10:00 p.m. Manila time).
The two teams last played in Dubai in 2019, but they had not faced each other before. In their return, they brought key players like Scottie Thompson, Japeth Aguilar, and June Mar Fajardo, along with new faces from the Season 50 Draft.
This match is also important for San Miguel, as it is part of their defense of the Philippine Cup title they won against TNT Tropang 5G. In their previous campaign, they defeated Ginebra in the semifinals in seven games to return to the championship.
As for Ginebra, this will be the first time they will compete outside the country without former point guard LA Tenorio, who is now Magnolia's head coach.
A large crowd of OFWs and PBA fans are expected to flock to Dubai to witness the clash between the two strongest teams in the league. Ticket prices start at approximately ₱1,600.
