The six Chinese nationals were arrested in Bulacan after violating the conditions of their stay in the Philippines. According to the Bureau of Immigration (BI), they were deemed "undesirable aliens" due to their clear violation of visa rules.
The six were caught on August 6 in Brgy. Sto. Cristo, San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan while working for a construction company. Two of them had valid working visas but were petitioned by a different company than the one they were actually working for — a clear violation of visa terms.
Currently, the process for their removal from the Philippines is being handled. This action by the BI is to ensure that immigration laws are followed and local jobs for Filipinos are protected.
