The Brazilian coach Jorge Souza de Brito confirmed that Bella Belen, Angel Canino, Alyssa Solomon, and Shaina Nitura are included in the Alas Pilipinas lineup for SEA V.League Leg 1 to be held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from August 1 to 3.
These four were not included in the previous VTV Cup in Vietnam, where Brooke Van Sickle, MJ Phillips and Tia Andaya played. These three will not be included this time because their FIVB documents are not yet complete.
Also not in the lineup are Lams Lamina, Amie Provido, Alleiah Malaluan, Jen Nierva, and Julia Coronel. Despite this, Coach De Brito still has full confidence in the ability of Alas Pilipinas to fight for FIVB world ranking points.
Jia De Guzman will lead again as team captain, along with Eya Laure, Leila Cruz, Vanie Gandler, Maddie Madayag, Mars Alba, Dell Palomata, Fifi Sharma, Thea Gagate, Dawn Catindig, Justine Jazareno, and Cla Loresco.
There will also be Leg 2 in Vietnam from August 8 to 10. This preparation is part of the plan for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games to be held in Thailand this December.
