The police confirmed that all 10 prisoners who escaped from the Batangas Provincial Jail this week have been arrested.
The last two prisoners were captured in separate operations in Ibaan and Bauan. The prisoners escaped this Monday due to alleged inhumane treatment.
According to the report, a jail guard was escorting them when one of them suddenly grabbed his gun and pointed it at him with a knife. The prisoners allegedly locked the guard up before escaping.
Five of them boarded a bus bound for Cubao. Police clarified that no hostage-taking occurred and the prisoners surrendered after 20 minutes.
The escaped prisoners face charges of murder, robbery, homicide, and illegal drugs.
