Chassis #001 of the Bugatti Bolide, the first of 40 units, will be prepared for auction at Pebble Beach on August 15–16. This track-only hypercar has a whopping 1,600 hp from a quad-turbo W16 engine and weighs just 3,086 lbs.
Launched as a concept car in 2020, the Bolide became a reality due to high demand. Because it did not have road-legal limits, it carried a powerful 8L W16 engine with 1,180 lb-ft of torque. It was capable of accelerating from 0–62 mph in 2.2 seconds and had nearly three tons of downforce at speed.
Chassis #001 is painted French Racing Blue with Nocturne Black carbon accents and X motifs. It was shipped to teamcjworks in Texas and has only 389 miles on the odometer. It was the first unit to be delivered to a customer since production began in 2023 at Le Mans.
The Bolide is limited to 40 units, each priced at $4.8 million USD. It is expected to fetch up to $6 million USD at auction. As the first production Bolide, it is an extremely rare collectible from the modern Bugatti.
