Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel burned marijuana worth P10.8 million in Sadanga, Mountain Province on Tuesday.
Up to 54,000 marijuana plants were discovered in a 3,000-square-meter plantation in Barangay Saclit. No arrests were made in the operation, according to the report.
As the group was leaving the area, they heard gunshots. They tried to find the source, but the suspect quickly fled.
PDEA is continuing to investigate the incident to determine who is responsible and prevent illegal marijuana cultivation in the region.
