A 38-year-old man was rearrested Tuesday afternoon in Taytay, Rizal for a murder case. According to the investigation, the man allegedly shot his neighbor in 2013, who later died.
While he was detained at the Taytay Municipal Police Station for the case of alarm and scandal on February 15, 2025, it appeared in the records that he has a pending arrest warrant for the crime of murder.
According to PCol. Felipe Maraggun, chief of the Rizal Police, a dispute or personal grudge appears to be the reason for the shooting. The man was previously imprisoned in 2021 for a qualified theft case.
The suspect vehemently denied this. According to him, "They said they had no one else to accuse so they were just pointing fingers at me."
As of now, there is no bail recommended for the murder case. Maraggun added, "With the re-arrest, justice will be served to the person killed in 2013."
