Is My Wife's Cellphone More Important to Me?

A cell phone is for use, not to replace a person. So sometimes I just ask myself... Am I the one with my wife, or is it her cell phone? We are together at home every day, but it seems like she is so far away from me. She is always talking to the screen. She chats with her friends, she posts almost every day, but me? Even when I ask her how she is, she always seems to have an answer, but no story.

I'm not jealous. I understand that he also wants “me time” or a little comfort, especially after a tiring day at work. But it seems like too much. The phone is becoming more important than our relationship. I don't feel like we have an emotional connection anymore. It's like even though we're in the same room, it's like there's a wall between us.

Sometimes, I only know how he feels through social media. That's the only way I can see if he's happy, if he's upset, or if he's stressed out about his day. But as his wife, I can't tell him directly. It's sad. I don't want to be strict, but I have to admit — it hurts me. I feel like I'm slowly disappearing from his world.

I don't know if I'm the only guy who feels this way. But I want to speak up, at least here. I want to remind him that people are more important than phones. Likes, shares, and videos are temporary. But the love between us, that's what lasts a lifetime — if only we cherish it.

So now, I chose to speak up. Not to hurt him or fight him, but to fight for our love. A true relationship doesn't just happen. It needs to be worked on. It needs time, effort, and attention. I hope we can go back to the time when, even without cellphones, we could really feel the connection between us.

Love, that shouldn't be unfollowed. It should be saved, pinned, and always a priority. I hope my wife can feel that again — and hopefully, we can get our old joy back.
