A 48-year-old man was arrested at NAIA Terminal 3 on Sunday afternoon after he joked about having a grenade in his bag while boarding a flight to Cebu.
According to the Aviation Security Group, the passenger reported having a grenade in his bag while placing it in the overhead bin. The cabin crew immediately reported this to the pilot.
The pilot called airport security and airline management to take action on the incident. K9 dogs were used to inspect the bag but no bomb was found.
