A total of 33 people were arrested today Monday, May 12, 2025, for violating the liquor ban in the provinces of Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Tarlac, according to a report by Police Regional Office (PRO) 3.
According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Rios Igarta, ten were caught in Nueva Ecija, 21 in Pampanga, and two in Tarlac. Some of their mugshots were posted on the PRO 3's Facebook page, particularly from the Cabanatuan City Police Station.
Those arrested were charged under COMELEC Omnibus Election Code Resolution No. 11057 and were immediately brought to court for legal process.
PRO 3 Director PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo explained that the liquor ban began midnight of May 11 and will end 11:59 p.m., May 12. During this period, selling, buying, and consuming alcohol or any intoxicating beverage is prohibited.
