P3.63 million worth of ecstasy tablets were seized at the Port of Manila on Tuesday, April 24, 2025. According to the PDEA (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency), the drugs came from Germany and were declared as vitamins.
The x-ray inspector of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) noticed the suspicious package, so it was subjected to K9 inspection. Upon examination, the contents of the parcel were confirmed to be party drugs, hidden in white plastic bottles.
The person who was supposed to receive the package is being sought, and he is set to be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Together with PDEA, the contraband has been seized for further examination and investigation. The operation is part of ongoing measures to crack down on illegal drugs in the country.
