A SUV crashed into the departure area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila this Sunday morning, May 4, 2025. According to reports, the vehicle hit the railing and walkway near the entrance, causing the death of two people and the injury of several others.
According to the Philippine Red Cross, an adult male and a 4-year-old girl were killed. The incident occurred before 9:00 a.m. The injured are currently receiving treatment.
The San Miguel Corp, which oversees the operation of the NAIA, confirmed the incident but did not provide an exact number of victims. They said the driver of the SUV is in police custody and an investigation is underway.
The area is now safe and only authorized personnel are allowed to enter. The company advised the public to not spread speculation and wait for official updates.
