A pickup truck was swept away by heavy floods in a river in Purok 1, Manasa, Barangay Anitapan, Mabini, Davao de Oro. This happened after the vehicle attempted to cross the rushing water.
In a viral video uploaded by Gerly Clor, a pickup truck can be seen being swept away by the floodwaters. It was almost lost in the current, but it was still tied up with a rope to prevent it from being completely swept away.
Fortunately, the occupants of the vehicle were able to safely exit before the water completely swept it away.
According to some residents, the area often floods during heavy rains. That's why they remind people to avoid crossing the river when the current is strong.
No one was injured in the incident, but local officials are calling for to be careful during rain or storms to avoid disaster.
