
A man was caught after robbing a convenience store in Barangay San Gabriel, Teresa, Rizal early Friday morning. According to police, the man was seen on CCTV entering the store's roof using tin shears.
The duty operator immediately called for help after watching the actual robbery on real-time CCTV footage. It just so happened that there was a police patrol in the area so he quickly arrived at the scene.
According to Police Col. Felipe Maraggun, the 29-year-old construction worker was caught on the same day. The suspect only got two packs of cigarettes because he was unable to open the store's vault.
The man said he was with someone , but in the video he was seen alone. He is now in the Teresa Custodial Facility and is facing a robbery case.
The police are continuing to search for the alleged accomplice in the incident.
