
Four men were arrested after they conducted illegal business in an abandoned hotel in Barangay Balintawak, Lipa City this Sunday morning.
Based on a report from the Lipa City Police Station, while on a roaming patrol, a security guard noticed that a window had been covered with plywood. Shortly after, he saw a group of men with backpacks inside the hotel.
The guard immediately called the barangay tanod and the police, which led to the arrest of the suspects. All those caught were residents of San Pedro City, Laguna.
Authorities learned that the suspects stole electrical wires from the hotel, which is owned by a bank. Police also recovered a gun, ammunition, and several plastic sachets suspected of containing shabu.
The suspects are currently facing robbery charges, as well as violations of Republic Act 10591 and Republic Act 9165. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
