
The 16-year-old Filipino Kean Kaizer Talingdan has been found and his identity confirmed after being reported missing following a fatal fire at the Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana, Switzerland on January 1, 2026.
According to his mother, Kristal Talingdan, Kean is currently confined at the University of Zurich Hospital. His condition is stable, but he cannot be approached yet as doctors continue to monitor his condition.
Kean was in Switzerland for a short vacation and was staying at a friend's family's house. He was with three classmates who were all injured after attending a New Year’s Eve celebration that ended in tragedy.
According to his father, Yohan Guiot, he received a call from Kean around 4:00 a.m. using a rescuer's phone. The rescuer said Kean had extensive burns and was treated at the scene for 45 minutes before being rushed to the hospital.
It is also possible to transfer Kean to Italy, specifically to Niguarda Hospital in Milan, if doctors allow it. At the latest report, 40 people have died and 121 have been injured, while the investigation and identification of the victims are still ongoing due to the severity of the injuries.
