The Honda EV Outlier Concept was unveiled at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show as proof that Honda's direction for electric motorcycles goes beyond simply switching from gasoline to electric. Rather than changing the current design, Honda has reimagined two-wheeled mobility from the ground up. Led by Yuya Tsutsumi, Large Project Leader, who guided the project from idea to full concept.

The name “Outlier” reflects the core philosophy of the project—a motorcycle that does not fit into traditional standards. According to Honda, electrification is not just a replacement for the internal combustion engine, but a way to create a new motorcycling experience. Through the Waigaya discussions, designers from Japan and around the world joined forces to challenge conventional ideas and create radical yet meaningful designs.
