CAMBODIA said the THAI MILITARY dropped TWO BOMBS in POIPET, a well-known CASINO HUB and border area of Cambodia and Thailand, on Thursday morning.
According to the DEFENSE MINISTRY OF CAMBODIA, the bombing occurred at around 11:00 A.M. in BANTEAY MEANCHEY PROVINCE. As of this afternoon, THAILAND had not yet issued a statement regarding the incident.
Due to the renewed BORDER CLASH, up to 21 DEATHS IN THAILAND and 17 IN CAMBODIA, while almost 800,000 PEOPLE have been forced to evacuate. The root of the conflict is the long-standing TERRITORIAL DISPUTE and old TEMPLES on the border of the two countries.
