Camping with a motorbike is a whole new level of fun. After a long journey, you want a tent that's perfect for the adventure. I discovered the Nordisk Oppland 3 LW tent, and since then, it's been my go-to for all my touring trips.
It's very light, only 2kg, and can fit in a motorbike or drybag. Whether solo or with a companion, the space-to-weight ratio is perfect. It's easy to set up with three Featherlite aluminium poles, and within 10 minutes, it's ready. The Dyneema guy lines are solid even in strong winds.
The tunnel design and double-wall setup provide ample space for gear, riding kit, and even small bike repairs. The vestibule is like a mini garage where you can store helmets, jackets, and boots. I even fixed my bike's speedo cable here once.
It's also comfortable inside even if you can't stand up. There's enough length and space to stretch and stay dry even when it's raining. In terms of color, I chose burnt red, but there's also forest green if you want stealth camping.
It's durable in any season, from heat to rain. Although a bit pricey, it's worth it for regular motorcycle adventures. If budget is a concern, the Oppland 2 PU is also a good option, which is cheaper and has the same design. For motorbike touring, this is the tent that really works.
