The Department of Education (DepEd) has announced a 16-day Christmas break for students. It will start on Dec. 20 and end on Jan. 4.
According to DepEd, classes will return on Jan. 5 of next year. This was posted on their Facebook page for everyone's information.
The break is in accordance with DepEd Order No. 12 issued by Secretary Sonny Angara. It states that the break will be in the last two weeks of December, and classes will resume in the first week of January.
This policy aims to better plan schools and make the most of learning time. It is also part of the government's educational reforms.
Meanwhile, DepEd TV will be launched in partnership with Knowledge Channel and Solar Learning. It will bring lessons on TV to help students, even without internet.
