Toyota and its Gazoo Racing division have introduced a new sports car, the GR GT, along with a racing version, the GR GT3. Both are designed to provide the ultimate driving experience using three key aspects: low center of gravity, lightweight yet strong body, and excellent aerodynamics.

The GR GT is considered Toyota's flagship as a road-legal race car, while the GR GT3 is a race car based on the GR GT for those who want to win races. Both have a 4-liter, V8 twin-turbo engine and all-aluminum body frame, with a hybrid system for the GR GT with a maximum 650 horsepower and 850 Nm torque.

The design emphasizes a driver-first approach. Heavy components such as the engine and transaxle are positioned for a low center of gravity, while the interior is designed to ensure comfortable driving even in extreme conditions. The GR GT measures 4,820 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,195 mm in height.

The GR GT3 also follows the same principles of low center of gravity, lightweight with rigidity, and aerodynamic performance. It is a FIA GT3-spec race car that is easy to drive for both professional and amateur drivers.

Overall, both the GR GT and GR GT3 are the result of advanced technologies and new development methods, including simulator-assisted R&D and real-world testing on race tracks in Japan and Europe. Toyota aims to launch these models in 2027, and development will continue to ensure performance and driving pleasure.
