
Actor-entrepreneur David Licauco has introduced new dishes at Sóbra Café for the upcoming holiday season. In a social media video, he showed off the 2025 Sóbra Season Specials which are now available at Opus Mall, Quezon City.
Licauco shared that they spent months creating and studying new dishes such as Chicken Inasal, Steak, Short Ribs, and various Seafood. He said his favorite is the Chicken Inasal made from boneless thigh, which is tastier and goes well with chili.
The new menu includes Daing na Bangus with egg and garlic fried rice using Japanese rice grains. There is also Grilled Chicken Harissa, a grilled chicken dish with bell pepper sauce with cajun and teriyaki flavors. Next up is Steak Rice, which Licauco said was one of the dishes he looked for on the café menu.
They also introduced Smoked Salmon Benedict, and a new fish dish Halibut with mussels. Also featured is Wagyu Shortribs that are cooked for 48 hours in a miso glaze, making them extra tender. They also have a new Truffle Mushroom Chicken which is roasted chicken with truffle white sauce and mashed potatoes.
Licauco shared that he hopes to have Sóbra Café included in the Michelin Guide next year. He said they are continuing to renovate and improve the café to achieve this.
