CHRIS PAUL, known as the “POINT GOD,”, has announced that he will RETIRE at the end of the current season. This will be the final year of his 21-YEAR CAREER, who left a big mark on the point guard position due to his HUSAY, PLAYMAKING, and LEADERSHIP.
Throughout his career, Paul has been a 12-TIME ALL-STAR and 11-TIME ALL-NBA. He is also third-time all-time in assists and steals, cementing his status as one of the most important point guards in history. Even though he didn't get the coveted NBA CHAMPIONSHIP, he had a huge impact on every team he played for, from CHARLOTTE HORNETS to LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS and beyond.
Paul said he was “AT PEACE” over the decision. Upon his return to NORTH CAROLINA, he posted on social media, “What a ride… Still so much left.. GRATEFUL for this last one!!” For the rest of the season, every game in his long career will be A FEELING OF THANKSGIVING.
With his departure, it will open a new era in the NBA. It's time for YOUNGER PLAYMAKERS to take the throne and continue the legacy of a true legend of the game.
