Rapper Soulja Boy has launched a new handheld gaming device that he calls the “ultimate handheld gaming console.” It has caught the attention of many because it has almost the same specs as a well-known device: a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 865 processor, 8 GB RAM, Android 13, Wi-Fi 6 and a 5,000mAh battery.
The price has dropped from an initial ₱26,000 (US $436.50 converted) to around ₱11,900 (US $200 converted), raising suspicion among users that it may be a rebrand of an existing model.
The manufacturer of the original device also commented that there was no legal agreement with the rapper—a point many gamers have observed because patents and design rights are now at stake.
As the conversation about the console's value and true origins intensifies, interest clearly revolves around how legitimate and definitive an option it is for gamers.
