The tragedy occurred in the town of Tuba, Benguet on Wednesday morning where two people died after their motorcycle fell into a ravine along Asin Road in Barangay Tadiangan.
According to the investigation, the accident occurred around 10 a.m. while the victims were crossing the road. Rescuers responded quickly and brought the remains of the victims to a funeral home on Marcos Highway.
Meanwhile, the body of the last missing passenger of a truck that fell into a river in Bontoc, Mountain Province was also found. Three days after the accident in Barangay Tocucan, the search and retrieval team recovered the body of Edmund Romeo, the fifth victim of the incident.
Based on the report, the truck driver lost control after it hit two vehicles, causing it to fall into the river. The truck was carrying workers who were on their way to a construction site in Sadanga when the accident occurred.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine whether negligence or brake problems were the cause of the two separate tragedies.
