Singer-songwriter Davey Ryan Edward Langit has passed away at the age of 38, according to his wife, Therese Villarante-Langit. In August, the couple shared that Davey had a rare spinal infection that affected his back and legs.
According to Therese in a Facebook post, Davey “fought until the end” and was loved and supported by many people in his final days. She also thanked everyone who gave hope, love, and help to their family.
Several fellow musicians held benefit concerts for Davey on October 15, including Nyoy Volante, Gian Magdangal, Lara Maigue, and Yumi Lacsamana. Another concert was scheduled for October 31, headlined by Ebe Dancel and Noel Cabangon.
Therese also shared that Davey is loving life and music. He loves to go on adventures, jump from high places, ride high rides, and is always cheerful. His favorite things are music and songwriting.
