Davao Oriental was again shaken by a strong earthquake Saturday night, according to a report by PHIVOLCS. The Magnitude 5.5 earthquake was recorded offshore near Mati City.
It occurred at around 6:27 PM at a depth of 11 kilometers. The epicenter of the earthquake was 88 kilometers east of Manay.

Intensity II – Tandag City, Surigao del Sur
According to instrumental intensities, towns in Davao Occidental, Davao de Oro, Sarangani, Davao del Sur, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Misamis Oriental, Southern Leyte and other neighboring areas also felt the tremor.
On Friday morning, a Magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck the sea near Manay, followed by a Magnitude 6.8 earthquake in the evening. Monitoring for possible aftershocks continues in the coming days.
