Asus has launched its Expert Series laptops and desktops in Taguig and aims to become the No.1 brand in the commercial PC market in the Philippines within three years. According to Rex Lee, Corporate VP of Asus, they will use their success in the consumer and gaming markets to compete with big brands like Dell, HP, and Lenovo.
At the event, Asus showcased the strength and durability of its ExpertBook laptops. They were subjected to tough demos: dropping from 3 feet, pouring water on the keyboard, carrying an 8kg kettlebell using the USB port, and stepping on the screen. Even in these situations, the laptops still functioned well.
According to Francis Avila, Commercial Business Head of Asus Philippines, the Expert Series is overengineered and passes more US Military Grade MIL-STD-810H tests than other brands. He added, “Our focus is not only on performance, but also on durability.”
The Asus Expert Series has two lines: the P Series for business users and SMEs, and the B Series for enterprises and IT professionals. It is made of magnesium alloy, has reinforced hinges and ports, and can be configured with up to 64GB DDR5 RAM.
In terms of price, the laptops will range from ₱85,000 and up depending on specs such as Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 32GB memory, and 1TB storage. Asus aims to make this more accessible to businesses and organizations in the country.
